The Oregon State football team arrived in Palo Alto last night and are ready to take on Stanford.
The latest lines have Oregon State as 16.5-point underdogs headed into the game. While the over/under is set at 42.5.
The season has been a minor disappointment for Cardinal fans as they are just 3-3 in conference play with big losses to Washington and Washington State. Their latest loss to Colorado (one in which they managed just five points) caused a quarterback switch.
Stanford went with Keller Chryst at QB, instead of Ryan Burns last week against Arizona and it resulted in a 34-10 victory. Christian McCaffrey played a big role in that victory though, as he ran for 169 yards and 2 TD’s.
McCaffrey hasn’t quite lived up to the enormous preseason expectations as he’s dealt with injuries, poor quarterback play and questionable play-calling. But, he’s still managed over 1,000 yards of total offense and 7 touchdowns on the year.
The Beavers defense will have their hands full trying to contain Christian McCaffrey, but if they can stop the run they have a good chance of pulling off the upset and earning their first road victory of the year. Go Beavers!
