Scott Rueck Doubles Up As Coach Of Year

Scott Rueck claimed both the Coaches' and media Pac-12 Coach of the Year awards after directing Oregon St. to their first ever Pac-12 regular season championship.

Oregon St. women's basketball coach Scott Rueck has doubled up on Pac-12 Coach of the Year honors, adding the media vote to the one voted on by the conference coaches.

Ruth Hamblin, the coaches' choice for Defensive Player of the Year, was also named the Player of the Year by the media.

UCLA guard Jordin Canada, also doubled up, adding the media's Freshman of the Year award to the coaches' choice.

Hamlin also anchored the media's All-Defensive team, and was joined by Promise Amukamara of Arizona St., Brittany Boyd of California; Jillian Alleyne of Oregon, and Lia Galdeira of Washington St.

Hamblin was joined on the media All-Conference team as she was on the coaches' team by Jamie Weisner and Sydney Wiese.

The rest of the media All-Conference team is comprised of Sophie Brunner, Arizona St,; Promise Amukamara, Arizona St., Brittany Boyd, California, Reshandra Gray, California, Jillian Alleyne, Oregon, Amber Orrange, Stanford, Lili Thompson, Stanford, Nirra Fields, UCLA, Taryn Wicijowski, Utah, Kelsey Plum, Washington, Jazmine Davis, Washington, and Lia Galdeira, Washington St.
