It was a rough season for Oregon State, and an 0-9 conference campaign doesn't usually springboard anybody onto an All-Conference list, but there was some recognition for 5 Beavers who had some individual accomplishments of note, and got Honorable Mentions when the Pac-12 All-Conference team as selected by the Pac-12 Coaches was announced today.

Victor Bolden was named, not as a WR, his normal job, but he did get acknowledged as a Kick Returner, after taking both a kickoff and a punt back for a touchdown.

Injuries and illness shook up the offensive line, but Josh Mitchell made every start at center, anchoring the line, and Isaac Seumalo made starts at both right guard and left tackle, frequently grading out the best of the linemen, and both were recognized for their efforts.

In multiple games, punter Nick Porebski was the best offensive weapon on the field for Oregon State. That's not a good situation, but that's not his fault, and deserved to be essentially named the 3rd best punter in the conference.

And Kyle Peko, after persevering for 2 years to even get on the field, responded with a strong season, playing at both DT in a 4 man front and NG when the Beavers used a 3 man front, before also playing some at DE. It earned him a spot on the All-Conference list as well.

UPDATE: The Player and Coach of the Year Awards were announced this evening, after the announcement of the team.

Stanford running back Christian McCaffrey is the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year, and Oregon defensive end DeForest Buckner is the Pat Tillman Defensive Player of the Year.

Washington State's Mike Leach and Stanford's David Shaw are the Pac-12 Co-Coaches of the Year.

UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen of UCLA is the Pac-12 Offensive Freshman of the Year, and USC linebacker Cameron Smith is the Pac-12 Defensive Freshman of the Year.
