Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Oregon State got a boost on defense, when weak side defensive end Isaac Garica committed on the 30th of October. After visiting Oregon State on the 24th. Garcia was previously committed to USC, but decommitted in September. The 3 star recurit hails from Bellevue, Washington.

Garica is ranked 22nd in the nation at his position and 4th in the state of Washington. The 6-4, 220 defensive end received many offers from teams like Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Utah and Michigan, as well as Washington State. After changing his mind on USC, Oregon State wasn't on anyone's radar to land him.

He joins a ever growing list of talented recruits that coach Andersen and team seem to be able to land. That list includes Shurod Thompson, Christian Wallace, and Hamilcar Rashed. The Beavers are ranked 52nd in the nation in recruiting. Garcia is a great steal, in the sense that he can play both sides of the ball at either tight end or defensive end. In some rankings he was ranked higher at tight end than defensive end. With Garica joining the team they have many players that can play both sides of the ball.
