Oregon St. head coach Mike Riley made an announcement today that was and will be met with a very positive reception among Beaver Nation.
Continuing a pattern of bringing back former players who were both solid performers on the field and outstanding members of the team and community off of it, Riley has brought Bernard on board as a Graduate Assistant.
Bernard, part of the long run of great running backs in recent years, is one of the most popular Beavers, with both fans and former team mates, as well as being one of the most well respected.
Bernard ran for 3,862 yards and 38 touchdowns in his Oregon St. career, which ran from 2004 through 2007, and played for Winnipeg and Saskatchewan in the CFL.
And as Bernard knows something about the position, it was a natural that Riley will have Bernard work with the running backs.
Welcome back Yvenson!
