It's the third day of May, and that means it's time for the annual Oregon State Spring Showcase. The excitement starts at 1:00 PM in Reser Stadium and can be seen on the Pac-12 Networks. The broadcast will last for two hours and follows Oregon's Spring Game on the same channel.
Here are three things to watch:
1. How Does The Offensive Line Look? The defensive line has drawn rave reviews throughout the Spring, led by Miami (Florida) transfer Jalen Grimble. Dylan Wynn has been as good as expected, playing both defensive end and tackle.
Meanwhile, the other side of the trenches is banged up. Two redshirt freshmen will be starting and senior Roman Sapolu will be snapping the ball at center. This gives us a good chance to see the future of the offensive line.
2. Who Replaces Rashaad Reynolds? The Beavers have crazy depth at cornerback this year, and it is between Larry Scott and Dashon Hunt to fill the shoes left by Reynolds. Both have impressed so far, and you might see both on the field if Hunt plays as the nickelback.
3. Is Victor Bolden Ready To Take Over For Brandin Cooks? We'll find out early on in the 2014 season, but we may see a sneak peak today. The sophomore is also in the running to be the team's first string punt returner, competing for the job along with Steven Nelson, Terron Ward, and Brandon Arnold.
Andy will be at Reser for today's festivities and will be back with a recap and some pictures later on. This is the place to discuss the showcase.
