170 days until kickoff vs. Portland State...more than half-way between opening days now. We're closer to playing Portland State than losing to Eastern Washington...
In Todd McShay's latest mock draft, he has Brandin Cooks going 26th to the Cleveland Browns. He doesn't have Scott Crichton projected to go in the first round. Should Cooks be the third WR drafted?
Bleacher Report has a full scouting report on the Beavers' third best pro prospect this year: Rashaad Reynolds. They project him as a fourth round draft pick.

Oregon State lost its first game of the Pac-12 tourney? I think I'm going to have a heart attack and die from that surprise! Writeups from last night's Civil War in Vegas: The Oregonian's Connor Letourneau. The Gazette Times' Jesse Sowa. The official OSU website. Despite the women's basketball team not winning the Pac-12 tournament, they still moved up a couple of lines in the most current Bracketology. If you want to watch the NCAA Selection Show with the womens' team on Monday, you can do so at the Reser Stadium Loge. Admission is free, doors open at 3:30 by the 4pm show.
Andy already covered this week's movement in the baseball polls, but ESPN's Power Rankings has the Beavers third. Boyd's World RPI projections has Oregon State all the way down at 76th, due to their weak schedule -- this is an important factor in selecting the NCAA tournament seedings at the end of the year. I really don't like the Beavers' non-conference scheduling practices in baseball, it would be nice if they stepped that up a bit. He also projects that Oregon State may have zero chance of reaching the top 8 in RPI for the season. There's a lot of room for error in those numbers since it's so early, but it's still perplexing to see how much influence an earlier season schedule may have. A Pac-12 title would likely cure all ills and result in a national seed, but if the Beavers finish 2nd or 3rd, this could certainly come back to haunt them.
