The University of Nebraska has announced that 4 days after firing football coach Bo Pelini for being only about 40 games over .500 in his career, the Cornhuskers have hired Oregon St. head Coach Mike Riley.

Cornnation, SBN's Nebraska blog, has the initial reaction.
A formal introduction will be coming tomorrow, at 9 AM in Lincoln.
This will put to rest all debate about changes to the scheme at Oregon St., where Riley, the winningest coach in Beaver history, but who has struggled down the stretch in recent years, missing the post-season this year, and in 3 of the last 5, and turn the attention to whom Athletic Director Bob DeCarolis will hire to take over the program.
