The move to multi-talent athletes is gaining momentum in college football, and Oregon St.received a commitment, or in this case more of a re-commitment, from one this weekend.
Shawn Wilson, from Pomona High in Pomona, CA, actually told Oregon St. coaches he was headed to Corvallis come the fall of 2015 last spring, selecting the Beavers over Washington St., but said little else since then, until announcing his attentions again over the weekend.
Wilson, rated a 3 star prospect by both Scout.com and Rivals.com, is 6' 165 lb. 3-way player, and has led Pomona back to the CIF Southern Section Mid-Valley title game this Friday for the first time since 1928.
Here's a look at his highlights:
Wilson has 88 tackles and 6 interceptions as a cornerback and 37 catches for over 1,100 yards, and 18 touchdowns as a wide receiver. Wilson also has 4 scores for the Red Devils on special teams, returning both punts and kickoffs.
