Oregon St. Lands A Hawaiian

Hawaii is coming to Reser for this weekend's game, but before the Rainbows arrived, Oregon St. got news of another islander coming their way.

Fitou Fisiiahi announced last night that he will be becoming a Beaver next year.

Fisiiahi is a 6'2", 240 lb. MLB from Kaiser High School in Honolulu, HI, who also plays running back for the Cougars.

Here's his junior season highlight package:

Fisiiahi is a 2 star recruit according to Scout.com, and was considered committed to Hawaii by some recruiting services.

Nevada, Utah and Washington St. also had made offers, but though Fisiiahi hasn't visited the Corvallis campus, Oregon St. made a visit though, and it paid off.

"I'm one-hundred percent committed," Fisiiahi said. "I'm not going to change my mind. They came here to see me. They offered me first."

Fisiiahi is Oregon St.'s 10th football commitment for 2014, and while he's the third linebacker prospect, he's the first one for the inside, a position that's thin behind sophomore starter Joel Skotte.
