Not Much Shakeup At The Top In Polls

Oregon St. Stayed Steady In This Week's Baseball Polls.

There was not much shakeup atop the Baseball America Top 25 Poll this week, and Oregon St.stayed at #6 after sweeping California. The only team in the top 25 who didn't go undefeated last week is Oregon, who split a series at Seattle before moving on to Pullman, where the Ducks swept Washington St., which moved them up from #11 to #10.

The only movement came as a result of Arizona St. falling from #8 to #13, as result of losing 2 of 3 to visiting Stanford, which also moved the Cardinal back into the poll, into the #25 spot.

UCLA also moved up, from #9 to #8, after beating UC-Irvine, and then sweeping Utah.

The top 25 remained North Carolina (who only played 1 game), Vanderbilt (who beat South Carolina twice), LSU, Fullerton St., and North Carolina St.

New Mexico remained the only other ranked team from the west, as the Lobos moved up from #17 to #16, after winning 3 of 4 games.

Perfect Game also didn't shake up their top 7, which means the Beavers remained at #7 in their poll.

Collegiate Baseball left their top 9 intact, which means Oregon St. stayed #5, and Oregon #6.

The USA Today Coaches' Assistant Sports Information Directors poll left their top 7 untouched, with Oregon St. in 5th, 1 spot ahead of Oregon.

The National Collegiate Baseball Writers' poll came out later in the day, and similarly did not shake up their top 8, including keeping Oregon St. and Oregon at #5 and #6.
