Oregon St. and Bryant, having played a thrilling, 10 inning game Friday night that the Beavers won 2-1, on a game winning RBI single by Tyler Smith, are back for more today. The Bulldogs and Beavers will play a pair. With wet weather in the forecast for the late afternoon or evening, the first game, which was originally scheduled for a 1:05 PM first pitch, has been moved up, with the teams to take the field at noon. The games could be limited to 7 innings as well. Subsequently, and without notice, the plan was changed again, with first pitch pushed back to the originally scheduled 1:05 PM.

The good news is a single ticket is good for both games. The second game will start about 30 minutes after the end of the first game, and not at a set time on the clock.

Having won their home opener for the 10th year in a row, 6th ranked Oregon St. will now try to get to 10-0 in the first game, and will send junior RHP Dan Child (2-0, 2.61 ERA) to the mound to get things started. The Beavers are halfway to their best start ever, the 18-0 start to the 1962 season that's the last time Oregon St. got off to a better beginning to a season that what has happened so far this season.

Freshman Andrew Moore (2-0, 0.66 ERA) will go in the second game for the Beavers,

Should either need support, the Oregon St. bullpen, which still hasn't allowed a run, will again be at the ready, and the Beaver pitching staff will be looking to improve even further on their 1.10 ERA.

The Bulldogs plan to counter with junior RHP Craig Schlitter (0-1, 5.40 ERA) and sophomore RHP Kevin McAvoy (0-0, 5.40 ERA).

The Beavers will try to support their pitching staff with some more offense today, and how well they do that will be the key thing to watch for.

Towards that goal, head coach Pat Casey has shaken up the lineup, moving Andy Peterson up to the leadoff spot as the most notable change.

Here's the lineup for the first game:

Andy Peterson-2B

Tyler Smith-SS

Michael Conforto-LF

Dylan Davis-RF

Danny Hayes-DH

Jared Casper-1B

Kavin Keyes-3B

Jake Rodriguez-C

Joey Jansen-CF

Update:

As expected, Jake Rodriguez gets the second game off, with Nate Esposito behind the plate.

Here's the lineup for game 2:

Andy Peterson-2B

Tyler Smith-SS

Michael Conforto-LF

Dylan Davis-RF

Joey Matthews-CF

Danny Hayes-1B

Gabe Clark-DH
