Oregon St. and Arizona play the middle game of their Pac-12 campaign opening series tonight. The Beavers beat the 'Cats 6-2 last night, capitalizing on a 3 run home run by Michael Conforto before the first out of the game occurred, and a strong 7 inning pitching performance by Matt Boyd, who allowed only 2 hits, and set 13 straight Arizona batters down in the middle of the game.

There a good chance tonight could be a pitchers' duel despite the fact that Hi Corbett is a hitter friendly field.

The Beavers will send freshman RHP Andrew Moore (4-0, 0.99) to the mound, and the 'Cats will counter with James Farris (3-1, 3.64). Farris leads Arizona in strikeouts, with 25, but has given up 4 triples.

The key for the Beavers beyond another stellar pitching performance by Moore (who has yet to have any other kind) will be to continue to string together hits, and hopefully improve on the dozen runners left on base last night.

Oregon St. head coach Pat Casey is going to go with the same starting lineup as last night:

Max Gordon-RF

Tyler Smith-SS

Michael Conforto-LF

Dylan Davis-DH

Danny Hayes-1B

Kavin Keyes-3B

Jake Rodriguez-C

Joey Jansen-CF

Andy Peterson-2B
