Oregon St. has landed a verbal commitment from Harris Ross, a running back from Pittsburg High in Pittsburg, CA.
Ross, a 2 star prospect according to both Rivals.com and Scout.com, was formerly committed to Hawaii, but has changed his mind.
He's the first running back in the Beavers' 2014 recruiting class.
Ross is 5'11" and 195 lbs., and had a 464 yard, 7 touchdown night earlier this season:

Ross' position coach at Pittsburg High is former Oregon St. great Ken Simonton, who has returned to his alma mater as the running backs coach.
Ross also had offers from Idaho, as well as Big Sky schools Eastern Washington and Sacramento St.
