Baylor Bounces Stanford From NCAA Tournament

Basketball season is now officially over for the Pac-12, after Baylor beat Stanford 59-47 in the NCAA Semifinals Sunday evening in Denver, CO.

Despite holding 6'8"+ Brittney Griner to 13 points and 9 rebounds, and getting a game high 22 points from Nnemkadi Ogwumike, the Cardinal couldn't keep up when the Bears went on an 11-1 second half run to come from behind, and eventually pull away.

As a result, Ogwumike's collegiate career came to an end after 4 trips to the final 4, but no national championships.

Baylor will meet Notre Dame, who earlier eliminated California, the Pac-12's other team that advanced to the NCAA Tournament, on Tuesday night for the women's national championship. A win for the Bears will result in a 40-0 season, something never accomplished in the collegiate game, by any men's or women's team.
