NIT Update: Stanford Joins Washington In New York

While it was assured that the Pac-12 would win one and lose on in the CBI Tournament semifinal last night, with Washington St. and Oregon Sr. squaring off, over in the NIT, it was the WAC against the PAC.

And it was Stanford that prevailed, easily defeating Nevada 84-56.

Josh Owens and Chasson Randle were co-game high for the Cardinal, with 15 points apiece. Stanford dominated by hitting 57% of their 3 pointers, while the Wolf Pack put less than 28% in.

Stanford (24-11) will join Washington in New York City next Tuesday. March 27, at Madison Square Garden for the semi-finals of the NIT. The Huskies earned their trip with their 90-86 win over Oregon.

The Cardinal will meet Massachusetts (25-11) of the Atlantic-10(14) at 4 PM PDT, followed at 6 PM + by the Huskies taking on Minnesota (22-14) from the Big Ten. The Gophers got to New York with a 78-72 win over Middle Tennessee last night.
