Utah at Oregon St. Game Thread

Utah (6-22, 3-13) at Oregon St. (15-13, 5-11) at Gill Coliseum at 7 PM PST / No TV / KEJO 1240 AM / KPAM 860 AM (Streamed)

Utah makes their first visit to the state of Oregon as a Pac-12 member to face Oregon St. to start the last weekend of the regular season. And their first trip to Corvallis since 1983.

The Utes upset Stanford Saturday in Salt Lake City, snapping an 8 game losing streak. Chris Hines, who led Utah with 19 points, hit the game winning 3 pointer with 27 seconds left, and center Jason Washburn added 17, in the best game the Utes have played this season.

The Beavers came up a point short against Oregon in Sunday's second battle of the season's Civil War at Gill. Ahmad Starks led Oregon St., with 18 points, after making 7 of 10 shots, and 4 of 5 from 3 point range, but it was Challe Barton who took the 3 point shot to force overtime, and missed. As a result, the putback left the Beavers a point short, and Oregon claimed the 74-73 win.

Oregon St. cruised to a 76-58 win in the team's first meeting of the season in Salt Lake City back on Feb. 4, giving them a 12-8 all-time edge in the series, but the Beavers haven't beat anyone since then.

Cunningham had a game high 20 points, but it was the combined 35 points by the Beavers' front line of Devon Collier, Joe Burton, Angus Brandt, and Kevin McShane that made the difference.

Can the Utes put together their first winning streak since beating Idaho St. and Portland back before Christmas? Can the Beavers ensure a winning regular season, which would be only their second since 1990, and an overall non-losing campaign, tonight?

Here's the place to assess both possibilities for a pair of teams' whose' seasons haven't gone as hoped.
