Jordan Poyer Named To A Pair Of All-America Teams

Both the CBS and Walter Camp Foundation All-America teams were announced this week, and Oregon St. senior CB Jordan Poyer was named to the first team on both.

Poyer was one of six Pac-12 players to earn first team honors on the Walter Camp list, and seven that were selected for the CBS list.

Oregon St. senior wide receiver Markus Wheaton, above, the Beavers' all-time career leader in catches, was also named to the CBS third team.

Poyer was joined on the Walter Camp first team by USC sophomore receiver Marqise Lee, Stanford senior tight end Zach Ertz, a pair of running backs, Oregon senior Kenjon Barner and Arizona sophomore Ka'Deem Carey, and Utah defensive tackle Star Lotulelei.

UCLA senior running back Johnathan Franklin and Arizona St. junior defensive tackle Will Sutton made the second team.

Carey, Franklin, Lee, Ertz, and Sutton, as well as Utah kick returner Reggie Dunn joined Poyer on the CBS first team, with Barner, Stanford OT David Yankey; Lotulelei; Stanford OLB Trent Murphy; and UCLA OLB Anthony Barr on the second team.

Stanford RB Stepfan Taylor, Washington TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins, UCLA OG Xavier Su'a-Filo, Oregon C Hroniss Grasu, Oregon CB Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, and Stanford S Ed Reynolds joined Wheaton on the CBS third team.

Oregon St. head coach Mike Riley has also been named the American Football Coaches Association Coach of the Year in the region, making him a finalist for their National Coach of the Year honor.
