Beavers Land Third Hoops Recruit For 2012

Oregon St. has received a verbal commitment from Langston Morris-Walker from Berkeley High in Berkeley, CA. Morris-Walker, rated a three star recruit by both Scout.com and Rivals.com, is a 6'5", 200 lb. small forward noted for his versatility, with the ability to handle the ball and defend on the perimeter, while still having the explosiveness to attack the basket inside.

Here's a highlight video.

Morris-Walker, who visited Corvallis over the Labor Day weekend, chose the Beavers over UTEP, shortly after visiting El Paso last weekend. San Francisco, St. Marys, & UC Santa Barbara had also made scholarship offers to him.

"It's always been my dream to play in the Pac-12," Morris-Walker told the San Jose Mercury-News. "The chance came, and I had to jump on it. There's so many great people up there, it's such a great town." (Coach Craig Robinson) is "...a good person, someone I wanted to be around the next four years. The coaching staff and players are such high-character people."

He becomes the third recruit Oregon St. head coach Craig Robinson has landed for the 2012 incoming class, joining Jarmal Reid and Maika Ostling.
