USC (21-29, 11-12) @ #4 Oregon State (38-13, 17-6) - 12:05 PM (PDT) - Goss Stadium at Coleman Field, Corvallis, OR - 1240 KEJO/860 KPAM/Kpam.com - Live Video on BNO, for a fee

Oregon State and USC meet at 12:05 PM west coast time this afternoon to conclude the three game series between the Beavers and Trojans. After today's game, the Beavers are off until Friday night at 7:00 PM when they face the Oregon Ducks in Eugene.

Oregon State comes into today's game with a record of 38-13, 17-6 in the Pac-10. The Beavers have good wins against Connecticut, Arizona State (3), Stanford (3), UCLA (2), and California (2). Oregon State has other solid victories against Gonzaga (2), Oregon, Long Beach State (2), and Arizona (2).

The Beavers are currently on a one game losing streak after falling to USC yesterday, 8-3. Ben Wetzler got the start for the Beavers after Josh Osich needed an extra day to rest, but Wetzler recorded all of one out before being chased by the Trojans. USC compiled an Arizona-like eight run inning in the first frame and the Trojans never looked back. The final score was 8-3, with Oregon State getting two runs in the fourth and one run in the ninth.

With the loss, Oregon State comes into Sunday just one game ahead of Arizona State in the race for the Pac-10 Championship.

The Trojans come into the game with a record of 21-29, 11-12 in the Pac-10. The Trojans are currently on a one game winning streak after their win against the Beavers on Saturday.

After Friday's 7-2 loss against Oregon State, the Trojans were officially knocked out of the race for the Pac-10 Championship. That doesn't mean that the Trojans won't want to play spoiler the rest of the weekend though, as Arizona State found out last weekend.

Adam Landecker and Matt Foat led the Trojans in yesterday's win with two RBI's each. After today's game, the Trojans will return to action on Tuesday when they host the Pepperdine Waves.

Josh Osich (6-2, 3.46) will get the start for Oregon State, while USC will send out Logan Odom (4-5, 3.56). In Osich's last start, Josh went 3.2 innings, giving up 4 runs (All earned) on 6 hits. In Odom's last start, Logan went 9 innings, giving up 2 runs (1 earned) on 3 hits.

For next Friday's series opener against Oregon, Oregon State will likely send out Sam Gaviglio (11-1, 1.72), while the Ducks will likely start Tyler Anderson (7-3, 2.24).

Go Beavers!
