Jon Warren, cohost of the Joe Beaver show daily on KEJO 1240 AM with Mike Parker, and also the co-host during football season of the Beaver Tailgater show with Doug Blair, is out of action, and could use the support of Beavers everywhere.
Tuesday, Jon had to cut the Joe Beaver show short, and now, he is under treatment at Oregon Health Science Center for blood clots on his brain.
Warren may not be that familiar to those not in the Corvallis-Albany area because of the limited reach of the KEJO signal, unless they are fans of the podcasts of the Joe Beaver show. But those who are in radio range are aware that Warren is one of the best in the sports radio business. Warren fills in for Parker, the voice of the Beavers, on occasion during basketball season, has been the radio voice of the Oregon St. women's basketball team at times, and is the voice of high school football and basketball in the mid-valley.
A believer in as much live coverage of sports at every level as possible, Warren does more to make coverage of not just the Beavers, but also high school and pro sports, and bowl games and NCAA tournament action, available than anyone else in the mid-Willamette Valley.
Here's hoping that the doctors at OHSC can get Jon back in action as soon as possible. In the meantime, words of encouragement for one of the Beavers' biggest fans would be of help.
Get well Jon!
