It's the last day of April, and that means it's time for the annual Oregon State Spring Game. The game kicks off at 12:15 at Reser Stadium. You have three options for listening to the game:
1. BNO Online
2. 1240 KEJO in Corvallis
3. 860 KPAM in Portland
The game will be broadcast on these stations until 1:25 PM.
Here are some of my thoughts on the game:
1. How Does Cody Vaz Look? With Ryan Katz only being able to throw in drills this spring, Cody Vaz has been the #1 Quarterback for the Beavers. Katz will definitely be ready to go by August, but it's always nice to have a good backup waiting in the wings in case he goes down.
Beaver Nation will get to see Vaz for an extended amount of time for the first time in his career this afternoon, and it will be interesting to see if he is as good as people have been saying he has been throughout Spring Practice.
2. The Receivers - The Beavers have crazy depth at receiver this year, and I am excited to see them tomorrow. From Jordan Bishop, Darrell Catchings, and Obum Gwacham to Geno Munoz and Markus Wheaton, this group is going to be incredibly fun to watch. That's not even including James Rodgers, who should be back by the September 3rd season-opener against Sacramento State.
3. Who Will Replace Justin Kahut? Right now it appears to be Trevor Romaine, but Max Johnson will be competing for the spot as well. Even though it rarely gets looked at, kicking can be huge in tight games as many Beaver fans know.
Andy and I will be at Reser for today's festivities and Mr. Panda will be back with a recap and some pictures later on. This is the place to discuss the game.
