Former All-Pac-10 safety Mitch Meeuwsen, the Beavers' career interception leader, has returned to Oregon St., and will fill the open Graduate Assistant spot on Coach Mike Riley's staff.
Meeuwsen, who came to Oregon St. after a high school career with the Forest Grove Vikings, played from 2001 thru 2004, starting 40 games, and earned third team All-American honors, along with his first team Pac-10 selection.
Meeuwsen, who was also a freshman All-American, had 217 tackles as a Beaver to go with his 20 interceptions.
Meeuwsen played for the Miami Dolphins and San Diego Chargers, and also the Rhein Fire when NFL Europe was still in operation.
Meeuwsen then returned to Oregon St. and completed his degree in Geography in 2007.
