The NCAA Tournament officially gets underway Tuesday afternoon in Dayton, where the "First Four" round will take place. The First Four is the new addition to the tournament, with the four winners of those games advancing to the real tournament.
This year, I will be picking every NCAA Tournament game, including these First Four. If you want to join me in the comments section, I'll keep everyone's records as well. And of course, don't forget to join the Building the Dam Bracket Challenge, which you can do so by clicking here. Enjoy!
Tuesday, March 15th (All Times Pacific)
North Carolina-Asheville vs Arkansas-Little Rock, 3:30 PM, Tru-TV
The one fun thing about games between two 16 seeds is that they always play their best games of the season. I'm going to be honest, I have no clue who to pick here. I'm basing my pick on the fact that UNC-A beat one BCS Conference team this season, while A-LR beat no one. Prediction: North Carolina-Asheville
UAB vs Clemson, 6:00 PM, Tru-TV
I love the Tigers in this one. For one thing, when you look at UAB's schedule you do not see one quality win. I've seen Clemson play a couple times this season, and they looked pretty good both times. If Clemson wins this one, I wouldn't be surprised to see them knock off West Virginia in the 1st Round either. Prediction: Clemson
More picks after the break
Texas-San Antonio vs Alabama State, 3:30 PM, Tru-TV
Once again no idea. But ASU went 17-17 against an awful schedule, so I'm going with the Roadrunners. Prediction: Texas-San Antonio
USC vs Virginia Commonwealth, 6:10 PM, Tru-TV
This one should be a fun one. Both teams are pretty much even in every stat I looked at, and both teams ended their seasons pretty hot. This one could go either way, but I'm going with the Trojans because of Nikola Vucevic. I predict that Vucevic will be in absolute beast mode throughout the tournament, and possibly lead the Trojans into the 2nd Round. Prediction: USC
Record: 0-0, Prediction: 37-30
