New Mexico State (11-2) @ Oregon State (10-3) - 5:35 PM (PST) - Goss Stadium at Coleman Field, Corvallis, OR - 1240 KEJO/1550 KKOV - Live Video on BNO, for a fee

Oregon State and New Mexico State meet at 5:35 PM west coast time tonight to close out the opening day of the Oregon State Tournament. This will be the sixth of a nine game homestand for the Beavers. Oregon State will also face VMI twice and New Mexico State again on Sunday.

Oregon State comes into this game with an overall record of 10-3. The Beavers opened up the season in Fresno, where they went 2-2. After the FSU Tournament, the team traveled to Texas, where they went 3-1. Oregon State then came home for a four game series against Hartford, which they swept. Their most recent game was against Oregon on Tuesday night, a dominant 4-1 victory for the Beavers.

The Aggies come into Corvallis with an overall record of 11-2. New Mexico State opened the season 9-0, with wins over Houston Baptist (3), New Mexico, Buffalo (4), and Cal State Northridge. The Aggies are since 2-2, with a 1-1 record against San Francisco, a loss to Lamar, and another win against New Mexico. The Aggies will face VMI at 1:00 PM Pacific today before taking on the Beavers.

The Beavers will send right hander Sam Gaviglio (2-0, 0.00) to the mound, while the Aggies will start left hander Ryan Beck (2-0, 5.79).

Last year, New Mexico State went 36-23-1 and were eliminated by Nevada in the WAC Tournament. 

The weather is is expected to be good for most, if not all of the game. The Weather Channel calls for 50° and clouds at 5:35 PM, with rain showers beginning and the temperature dropping to 46° at 8:00 PM.

After the game with New Mexico State, the Beavers will continue the Oregon State Tournament tomorrow night against VMI at 5:35 PM Pacific. That will be the Keydets second game of the day, as they are scheduled to play against New Mexico State earlier on Saturday.
