Oregon St.'s senior post player El Sara Greer was named the Pac-10 Women's Basketball Player of the Week for last week, after her 21 points and 13 rebound double double led the Beavers to a 61-59 win over visiting Oregon in the Civil War, battle 2, Saturday evening at Gill Coliseum.
El Sara Greer led the victory that required Oregon St. overcome a 20 point halftime deficit, the Beavers' biggest comeback in over 4 years, equaling the largest in team history ever, which was also against the Ducks.
Greer shot 64% from the field (7 of 11), and also had 2 blocked shots, which raised her season total to 81, 5 shy of the single season Oregon St. record.
It was the first time a Beaver women's player has been named Pac-10 player of the week since Talisa Rhea in December of 2008.
