For those fans who can't wait for the first game, much less the home opener against Louisville, still over two weeks off, or who need a blast of Beaver spirit, you can catch the band, and the fight song, Thursday, at the Oregon State Fair.

"Of course we do this gig, our name is right in the title!" Oregon St. Marching Band Director Brad Townsend said. "It's a great way to get the year started."

Thursday is College Day at the Oregon State Fair in Salem, and the Spirit and Sound of Oregon St. will appear, beginning with a march down the fairgrounds' main concourse ("Hey! Hey You! Get Out Of The Way!) at 11:45 AM, and conclude with a performance, appropriately, on the Spirit of Oregon (State) Stage at 1:10.

The Oregon St. University Marching Band is the oldest band in the Pac-10, and is beginning their 121st. year.
