Mens' Basketball Schedule Out

The first cut of the 2010-11 Oregon St. mens' basketball schedule is out, and while only one tip-off time has been set (most will be determined as television schedules are put together), at least the dates are on the calendar.

Coach Craig Robinson's Beavers open Tuesday, November 9th., at home, in an exhibition against Division II Western Oregon. The teams met last season in an exhibition as well. The Division I schedule starts the following Sunday, when the Beavers host the University of Texas at Arlington.

"We are very excited with this schedule," Robinson said. "Coming off another trip to the postseason, we are really looking to build off that momentum with some great opponents at Gill Coliseum. Plus, there will be some great non-conference games, with quality opponents, before we open up league play and go through a tough 18 game Pac-10 schedule."

Wednesday, November 17th., the Beavers make their first trip to Seattle to play the Redhawks since the 76-77 season. OSU will be looking for redemption for their worst loss of last season.

In all, the Beavers have 17 games at Gill Coliseum, and notably, there are no non-conference games interspersed into the Pac-10 schedule this season.

A Dec. 4 trip to Boulder for the Pac-10/BigXII Hardwood Classic, against future Pac-12 opponent Colorado, and a Dec. 15th. trip to Montana highlight the road schedule.

The Corvallis installment of the Civil War is scheduled for Sat., Jan. 22, with the rematch in Eugene on Feb. 19th. The Pac-10 regular season schedule ends with the Arizona trip March 3rd. and 5th. The Pac-10 will again be using the Thursday-Saturday schedule for the majority of conference games.

The Pac-10 Tournament will be in Los Angeles, as always, and held on March 9th. thru the 12th.
