OSU vs Arizona State - 7:30 PM - Gill Coliseum - FSN NW
The Beavers begin Pac-10 play tonight against Arizona State. The Beavers are coming off a 74-54 win against Illinois-Chicago on December 22nd.
The Beavers controlled the game from start to finish, leading by as many as 26 in the 2nd Half. Jared Cunningham led the Beavers with 22 points.
As far as starters go, the Beavers have been mixing it up lately. Against UIC, Angus Brandt, Omari Johnson, and Devon Collier got the start down low, with Jared Cunningham and Calvin Haynes in the backcourt. Expect that lineup tonight when the Beavers take the court.
Head coach Craig Robinson had this to say after the win, "I think what our guys looked at was the fact that they beat (No. 12) Illinois and they worked their tails off all week long. This is what happens when you work that hard and then you have a sustained effort for 40 minutes. This was one of the few games we've had this year when we got a sustained effort from everybody for 40 minutes."
Arizona State is currently 7-4 on the season.
The Sun Devils' victories have came against UAB, Houston Baptist, Weber State, Gardner-Webb, Nevada, Long Beach State, and North Carolina A&T. Their losses have came against New Mexico, St. Johns, Baylor, and Richmond.
Remember, tip-off is set for 7:30 PM on FSN NW.
Go Beavers!
