Game 10 Open Thread: George Washington

OSU vs George Washington - 4:30 PM - Gill Coliseum - FSN NW

The Beavers continue non-conference play this afternoon against George Washington. The Beavers are coming off a 71-66 loss against Montana on Wednesday.

The game went back and forth until the final couple minutes, when Montana used some good defense and hot shooting to pull away from the Beavers. Angus Brandt and Roberto Nelson led the Beavers with 13 points.

As far as starters go, the Beavers have been mixing it up lately. On Wednesday, Joe Burton, Omari Johnson, and Devon Collier got the start down low, with Jared Cunningham and Ahmad Starks in the backcourt. Expect that lineup today when the Beavers take the court.

Head coach Craig Robinson had this to say after the loss, "The reason why we schedule a game like this is so that we can have a feel for how to play on the road and we just came out so lifeless at the beginning of the game. I was a little bit surprised because I thought we had a good week of practice. We were coming off a good win, but the first six or seven minutes we looked kind of lifeless.

George Washington, a Division I member of the Atlantic 10, is currently 3-5 on the season.

The Colonials victories have came against Marist, Nevada, and Towson. Last time out, they defeated the Towson Tigers 73-67.

Remember, tip-off is set for 4:30 PM on FSN NW.

Go Beavers!
