The Beavers return to Corvallis this afternoon for a non-conference game against Texas-Pan American. The Beavers are coming off a 83-57 loss against Colorado last Saturday.
The Beavers led early on, but the Buffaloes went on a 16-3 run to erase any hopes of an upset. Jared Cunningham led the Beavers with 16 points.
As far as starters go, the Beavers have been mixing it up lately. On Saturday, Joe Burton, Omari Johnson, and Devon Collier got the start down low, with Jared Cunningham and Ahmad Starks in the backcourt. Osubeavers.com listed these guys as the probable starters for today's game.
Head coach Craig Robinson had this to say after the loss, "A couple of things, bad playing number one and I think the altitude really affected the guys. We had one kid who got altitude sickness but that isn't an excuse because we started out well when we were executing, but from then I want to take a look at the tape and see what happened. I suspect it was the offensive rebounds in the first half."
Texas-Pan American, a Division I member of the Great West, is currently 3-8 on the season.
The Beavers and Broncs have one common opponent in Colorado, where T-PA lost by 29. The Broncs are coming off a 22 point loss in Spokane against Washington State on Friday.
