James Rodgers' Surgery Goes Well

That's the report from Ed Riley, Oregon St. coach Mike Riley's brother, who also happens to have been the anesthiologist for James Rodgers' surgery yesterday in California to repair the ligament damage he suffered in the second quarter of the game at Arizona.

OSU assistant athletic trainer Josh Sims traveled with Rodgers to California for the procedure, and called head trainer Barney Graff as soon as the surgery was finished.

"Josh ... basically said that they did everything they intended to do today, and it was good."

Rodgers' uncle, Rodney Williams, was also present in California, and Tasha Williams, Rodgers' mother, still in Texas,  plans to travel to Corvallis soon to assist Rodgers in his rehab.
