The 2000's were a decade of rebirth and success for the Oregon State football program. After going through the 1990's with just one winning season (1999), the Beavers ended the 2000s win 8 winning seasons and six bowl victories.
Oregon State was 80-46 (64%) during the 2000s, compared to 29-81-1 (26%) during the 1990s and 22-85-4 (21%) in the 1980s. The 80 victories rank as the third most in the conference during the decade. Here is how they stack up as of Dec. 31: USC 103-25, Oregon 87-37, OSU 80-46, California 71-52, UCLA 67-58, Arizona State 65-59, Washington State 57-64, Arizona 50-69, Washington 50-71 and Stanford 48-69.
Now, it's time to cast our ballots for Oregon State Football's All-Decade Team. We'll start first with the offense. Now, I know we all are more apt to remember players who have recently had success at OSU (Jacquizz Rodgers), but let's also take into account the players who performed well earlier in the decade (the Simenton's, Jackson's, etc.) and weigh their contributions against each other.
Full ballot after the break. And if the embedded ballot doesn't work, simply follow this link.
