Wednesday Open Thread: Looking Ahead to Arizona

Usually we get to this on Monday, but I've been trying to overcome a cold the past few days that had me more interested in sleep and watching Plaxico Burress walk into court about 300 times yesterday on ESPN. But anyway, here we are, just a few days away from the start of Pac-10 play.

Arizona will be in town this weekend looking to avenge the 19-17 loss handed to them by the Beavers last year in Tuscon. This, if you have forgotten, was the game that the Beavers not only lost Jacquizz Rodgers to injury, but had to hit a late-game field goal to win the game after kicker Justin Kahut missed and extra point on a touchdown in the fourth quarter.

Jacquizz Rodgers will be 100% heading into the game, and is treating this like any other week-- he's not looking for revenge just because he was injured against Arizona last year.

Arizona will be without start tight end Rob Gronkowski in Saturday's game, who is missing the remainder of the season due to back surgery. And the Wildcats have problems at quarterback, where they will likely break in Nick Foles after chosen starter Matt Scott struggled last week against Iowa. Scott was 4 of 14 passing for 50 yards in the game.

The Wildcats have the horses at the running back position in Nic Grigsby and Keoli Antolin, they just need their offensive line to provide the running room. Against Iowa, Grigsby really had to produce all of his yards organically due to sub-par run blocking. He finished with 75 yards on 11 carries.

This is definitely a game that Oregon State should win. Cincinnati exposed a lot of weaknesses on this team (QB, OL, DL, etc.) but that was a very talented team. But still, what worries you about this Arizona team?
