13:46, 2nd Quarter: Second quarter underway, with QB Sean Canfield putting on a show in Berkeley. Through the first three Oregon State drives, Canfield is 8 of 9 passing for 150 yards. Highlights of the drive: James Rodgers gets things going with a 28 yard rush to start the drive, which started at the OSU 10. Canfield hooks up with Damola Adeniji for a nice chunk of 32 yards, with Damola making a great catch on a 3rd and 9 play. Canfield hooks up with Halahuni, getting 18 more yards. Then, it was Canfield to James Rodgers for a 15 yard touchdown reception in which #8 shook off two tackles. The second quarter is just underway, and the Beavers lead 14-0.
6:07, 2nd Quarter: Kevin Riley completes some passes and Jahvid Best scores, but looks to be seriously injured after being upended as he reached for the goal line. Oregon State’s prayers are with Jahvid Best right now. Oregon State 14, California 6 (extra point still coming).
1:56, 2nd Quarter: A short kickoff and decent return by Joe Halahuni set the Beavers up with great field position following Cal's first touchdown. A couple of completions by Sean Canfield picked up nice chunks of yards, and a Cal pass interference call didn't hurt. The touchdown came on a pass from Sean Canfield to Jordan Bishop, Kahut's extra point is good, and the Beavers lead 21-7 with under two minutes to go in the half.
End 2nd Quarter: Oregon State 21, California 7
GO BEAVERS!
