The big game will be next week, when the Oregon St. Beavers visit the Oregon Ducks in the Civil War for the Roses, but there are still several games of regional and national interest, and a lot of national coverage of the Pac-10 this week.
Being Notre Dame, even given that a .500 record, and a coaching change, are definite possibilities, the Irish always get national coverage, including their 5:00 game down on the Farm, against the Stanford Cardinal. The game will be an ABC regional game, but those portions of the country, mostly in the East and Southeast, that get the Georgia-Georgia Tech game as their ABC regional game will have this game available on ESPN2.
The battle for Los Angeles, with the UCLA Bruins visiting the USC Trojans at 7:00, will also get national coverage, on the Fox Sports Network of regional channels, as the Bruins try for an above .500 finish, and the Trojans try to avoid a further (by their standards) breakdown.
The Territorial Cup is at stake in Tempe, in a game that could influence where several teams go bowling, including possibly the loser of the Civil War, when the Arizona Wildcats visit the Arizona St. Sun Devils for a 12:30 Pacific (1:30 MST) game. Because of the impact up and down the coast, at least south of the state of Washington, the game is the ABC regional afternoon game.
The Apple Cup will again not affect the bowl situation, but is of interest in the region, so Fox Sports Northwest will have the game from Seattle at 3:30 when the Washington St. Cougars visit the Washington Huskies.
The Cal Golden Bears have the week off, along with Oregon and Oregon St.
