Pac-10 TV Schedule, Week 11

It's Huskies and Beavers Week, and Fox Sports Northwest has regional coverage of the 12:30 game when the Washington Huskes visit the Oregon St. Beavers. This is the one that will have NFL scouts in Reser, and more watching from afar, because it is the showdown of the two quarterbacks in the conference the NFL is interested in, in Oregon St.'s senior Sean Canfield, and Washington's junior Jake Locker, who is considering whether to enter the NFL draft a year early. There's some good young QBs in the conference, and some will receive attention down the road, but right now Canfield and Locker are it.

Also at 12:30, the Stanford Cardinal return to the LA Coliseum, to face the USC Trojans, and many think they may end the Trojan's 7 year dynasty of Pac-10 championships. FSN will carry this game nearly nationally on their network of regional networks. FSNW will replay the game at 10:00 PM for Northwest fans probably pre-occupied at the time the game is played.

If you are wondering how all these games in the 12:30 time slot reserved for ABC are getting on the air, it's because ABC will have the Big-10 contest that will have a lot to do with who goes to the Rose Bowl, as the Iowa Hawkeyes visit the Ohio St. Buckeyes.

There's another interesting northwest contest at 12:30 as well, one that might be worth setting that backup recorder in the shop for, as the Idaho Vandals visit the Boise St. Broncos in the Spud cup, and it will be the first time this century where both are bowl eligible teams. ESPN U will have that game.

After the entire northwest was on the road last week, all four Pac-10 teams are at home this week. (Who makes these schedules anyway?) At 2:00 the UCLA Bruins visit Pullman to take on the Washington St. Cougars, and Fox College Sports (FCS) will have the coverage.

At 4:00 the Arizona Wildcats visit Strawberry Canyon, and the Cal Golden Bears, and Versus, a Comcast owned channel has the game. Versus is a premium channel in many systems, and is not available to Direct TV customers.

The day winds up at 7:20, when the Arizona St. Sun Devils visit Eugene, and the Oregon Ducks, who are looking to recover from their experience with Stanford, and ESPN has regional coverage of the game throughout the west. The game is available in the ESPN 360 premium package in areas of the country that do not get the game on ESPN.
