It's Super Bowl week, which means a star-studded lineup of former and current NFL players and executives for most sports radio stations. However, Canzano interviewed Oregon State forward Calvin Haynes on yesterday's Bald Faced Truth, hitting topics from the modified-Princeston system that Coach Robinson runs, to what kind of a guy Coach Rob (or "Craig", as Calvin calls him) is off the court.
Apologies for my old school recording techniques, that are blatant at the start of this mp3.
Everything BFT-related can be found at Canzano's newly redesigned website, www.baldfacedtruth.com.
Finally, Oregon State Basketball Information Director Michael Collins informed us today that only 1,000 tickets remain for the Civil War. From his press release:
Approximately 1,000 tickets remain for Saturday's men's basketball contest between Oregon State and Oregon, the OSU athletic department announced on Wednesday. The meeting between the Beavers and the Ducks is the 330th in the Civil War series presented by Northwest Dodge Dealers and is the most-played series in men's college basketball.
For tickets, which are $27 each, purchase online by calling the Oregon State ticket office at 1-800-GO-BEAVS or purchase online by visiting www.osubeavers.com.
Legendary Gill Coloseum's attendance is 10,400... that means that that at least 9,400 fans will be packing the stands on Saturday, at a minimum. I'm sure the game will sell out between now and Saturday, which will be a phenomenal atmosphere for a college basketball game. A college basketball game!
