It feels a bit strange playing a Saturday-Sunday-Monday series in Pac-10 play, but WSU's graduation ceremonies forced the first game of the series to be played today instead of yesterday. The Beavers know that they need a series win to stay in the upper eschelon of the Pac-10, but one would think that the Beavers would only be happy with a sweep. The Cougars are 3-9 in Pac-10 play and 22-19 overall.
