Adam Jude of the Register-Guard brings us an interesting story on C.J. Giles. When Oregon State hires a new coach, Giles wants to be reinstated.
Do you think he has a case?
"Hopefully the new coach will come in and reinstate me," Giles said. "I'm just waiting to see what happens."
Jude reports that C.J. was sitting in the corner of the upper-level bleachers in Gill watching Tuesday's practice, eating string cheese.
From the Register-Guard:
Now, as a wild card, he said he will try to persuade the new coach -- if it's not Mouton -- to give him yet another opportunity.
He said he is still taking classes at OSU and working to remain eligible.
"I'm just focused on school right now," he said.
He said he goes to Seattle, his hometown, every weekend and plays often there.
Giles said he is also keeping in touch with many of his former OSU teammates.
After transferring from Kansas last January, Giles played in 10 games for OSU this season. Giles averaged 6.3 points and 5.6 rebounds, and fouled out six times.
