Jacoby on ESPN :: Red Sox vs. Yankees

It's Game 3 of the series between New York and Boston. After Boston won Game 2 last night (We'll get to that later), the Yankees find themselves five and a half games out of first place.

Last Night, Jacoby entered the game when Kevin Youkilis left the game with a bruised wrist. He did alright, going 2-for-2 with 2 runs and 3 RBI's. No big deal. Since being called up on September 1, Jacoby has gotten a hit in every game. That's a 13 game hitting streak, folks.

He was called safe on a close play in which Ellsbury scored from first on an liner by Dustin Pedroia. New York catcher Jorge Posada got the ball ahead of Jacoby's arrival, but apparently forgot to tag him. Jorge braced for impact (Eric Henske had barreled him over minutes before) but Jacoby slid around him. Take a look below.

Jacoby will start in left field and bat lead off tonight for the Red Sox. Tune in on ESPN at 5:10 for all the action.
