The Beavers became the first Pac-10 team to win a series at Jackie Robinson Stadium, and they did it with a 13-5 victory over the Bruins.
Joe Patterson had a great day on the mound for the Beavers. He went seven and a third, allowed five runs on six hits, walked three, and struck out three. Mark Grbavac finished the game out. He gave up three hits and struck out one in a little under two innings of work.
Chris Hopkins went 3-for-5, which was good to see as he has been in a bit of a slump lately. Darwin Barney was 3-for-4, and Joey Wong continued his hot bat with a 2-for-4 day. Good things happen when you can hit the ball around.
The Beavers followed up Friday's thirteen hit performance with a twelve hit performance. Good to see after they got a combined nine hits in all three games against Arizona State.
