OSU wins Series with Sunday Victory

Jorge Reyes got his first Pac-10 start in place of Daniel Turpen, and he gave the Beavers six innings, allowing three runs on eight hits. He walked one, and struck out six. He gave up three runs in the first inning.

Stanford brought the potential winning run to the plate in the ninth, but closer Eddie Kunz forced a ground out to end the game.

For the Beavers at the plate, Ogata was 3-for-4 with a homer, a double and two runs batted in; Lissman was 3-for-4 with a homer and Barney was 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBIs. For Stanford, Michael Taylor, the one who won the game yesterday for the Cardinal on a walk off home run, went 2-for-5 with a run scored. Adam Sorgi has been hot all series, and he went 3-for-4.

The Beavers travel north now to take on Washington. Friday's game will be played at Safeco field, Saturday and Sunday's games will be played at Husky Ballpark.

Go Beavers!
