Koets Goes 189th to the Giants; Moore, Newton Undrafted

The Beavers ended up with one lone draft pick on each day of this year's NFL draft. Saturday, it was Sabby, Sunday, it was Offensive Tackle Adam Koets.

Koets went 189th overall, 15th in the sixth round, the the New York Giants. The Giants see Koets as a project at tackle, which is interesting because they already consider themselves to have another project at tackle; Guy Whimper. Adam's future is uncertain to me at this point. Of course, there is no real way to tell until all these players strap on the pads and hit the field.

Matt Moore and Joe Newton both went undrafted. Rumor has it that Moore will sign with the Cowboys (Tony Romo replacement???) and Newton will sign with the Seahawks, just up the street from Corvallis. For what it's worth, former Oregon Duck Jordan Kent was drafted by the Seahawks.

Could we see Matt holding snaps for the Cowboys?

The Draft is done, Spring Practice and the Spring Game are over, and now we're in for the long haul. That's what baseball is for.

Go Beavers!
