Pac-10 Baseball :: Brief Saturday Wrap-Up

Today wasn't a good day for Beaver baseball, but let's check up on other scores around the Pac-10.

Arizona at UCLA

Right fielder Gabe Cohen and second baseman Alden Carrithers each had three hits as UCLA beat Arizona 11-4. With the win, UCLA continues to show their dominance of the Pac-10. Hopefully the Beavers can change that in a few weeks.

Arizona State at Cal

Arizona State scored in seven of nine innings as they went on to hammer Cal, 15-2. This evens the series at 1-1, with tomorrow's Game 3 deciding the series.

Washington State at USC

USC used a five run second inning to propel themselves over Washington State, 9-5. This series is also now even at 1-1.

Washington vs. Utah Valley State

In one of the most lopsided back and fourth series' I can remember, the Huskies beat Utah Valley State today by a score of 20-9. This came a day after the Huskies fell 17-9 to the very same team. Utah Valley State used a 12 run inning to help them get their 17 runs in the second game of the series, and Washington used a 11 run inning to help them get their 20 runs in today's final game of the series. Washington still lost the series two games to one, as they lost on Thursday by a score of 8-5.

Go Beavers!
