The story of the day yesterday was Mitch Canham's two grand slams, one in each game of the double header. Both grand slams broke their respective games open, and gave the Beavers easy wins in both.
There was some shocking news off the diamond yesterday, as OSU Baseball Player Mike Lissman was reportedly charged with theft. The details are somewhat sketchy at this point, and I'm sure more details will emerge both from the police and the university as the week goes on.
We've been focused on baseball this weekend, but the softball team was also hard at work. On Friday, they lost to Arizona, 3-1. Saturday, they shut out Arizona State 2-0, but yesterday they fell to the Devils 8-7 in a heartbreaking 11-inning loss seen by a national television audience on ESPN2. They play Oregon, Washington, and UCLA this week. The game against Oregon will decide the winner of the Civil War Series.
The Football team Scrimmaged on Saturday. The Spring Game is this Saturday, the 28th. The new Uniforms will be reveled the day before, on Friday the 27th.
