With a million-dollar renovation behind them, the Beavers beat Evansville 9-2 yesterday in their home opener.
"We had a great crowd and this park is beautiful," OSU head coach Pat Casey said. "It’s spectacular, and it’s only going to get better. It was a great atmosphere.
Mike Stutes got the start for the Beavers, and he went 6 1/3 and struck out 5. Blake Keitzman came on in relief, pitched 1 2/3 innings, and didn't give up a hit. Greg Keim came on in the ninth to finish the deal.
