Oregon State was in Surprise, Arizona this last weekend for the Coca-Cola Classic, a tournament they won with Sunday's 9-2 victory over Missouri. That win was also Pat Casey's 400th win as Oregon State head coach.
The Beavers still have work to do offensively, and at this point they are benefiting greatly on big innings. Against Missouri, the Beavers drove in three runs in the 5th and 7th innings. Against Arizona State on Saturday, the Beavers put up 3 in the 4th inning, and 6 in the 7th.
Here's a look at what the Beavers did in the tournament:
Friday: vs. Gonzaga (L, 6-5)
Saturday: vs. Arizona State (W, 12-4)
Sunday: vs. Missouri (W, 9-2)
The Beavers will be traveling to California this week to play in the River City Classic. Friday they'll play Cal-Davis; Saturday, St. Mary's College; and Sunday, Sacramento State.
Go Beavers!
