Stanford :: Preview

Oregon State looks to build on it's one game winning streak-- a victory over Arizona State-- when they play Stanford tonight in Palo Alto. The Cardinal are currently sixth in the Pac-10, and the first of only 5 unranked teams. They've lost two in a row to Washington and Washington State. Their remaining schedule is harsh, as they are scheduled to play four of the conference's top 5 teams, as well as Oregon State and Arizona State before the end of the season.

The last time these two teams met, I would venture to say that Oregon State was intimidated at first. Stanford has a scary roster, including the two 7-footers, Brook and Robin Lopez. For much of the first half Oregon State was taking it to Stanford on the boards, but at that point of the season, we couldn't put two descent halves of basketball together. No matter how well we played in the first half, we couldn't bring that same intensity to the second half.

Oregon State needs to come out with intensity and confidence, because we know we have players that can step up and get things done. Even though we haven't had the most success this season, this game is very doable.

Well, that's what I think.
