No. 10 Arizona

(12-2, 3-1)

Pac-10 Basketball gets back into action today, with the Beavers traveling to play the No. 10 Arizona Wildcats. The Beavers have lost nine games in a row against ranked opponents. This year those loses have come at the hands of Nevada, LSU, Oregon, and UCLA. However, the Wildcats were the last ranked them Oregon State has beaten, that win coming last year at Gill Coliseum. The Beavers haven't won in Tuscon for 23 years. Could that change today? Let's take a look.

The Projected Starters:

Projected Starting Lineups

Oregon State

.

Arizona

G Josh Tarver 10.1 . G Mustafa Shakur 7.9
G W. Washington 6.1 . G Jawann McClellan 12.7
C Kyle Jeffers 6.4 . C Ivan Radenovic 17.1
F Marcel Jones 15.2 . F Marcus Williams 16.7
F Sasa Cuic 12.5 . F Chase Budinger 16.4

Just by adding the points together, you'll find that Arizona's starters average 20 points a game more than Oregon State's starters. That is just one way to tell that the Beavers will have their hands full tonight in Tucson. This is probably one of those games where we will try to slow down the game as much as possible, run the offense, and keep the ball at our end of the court-- where Arizona can't score.

After starting the season with three conference losses (Oregon, UCLA, USC) it would be great to post a win tonight, but it is definitely not going to be easy. Washington State, who is off to a great start, upset Arizona 77-73 at Friel Court on Saturday. That ended the Arizona's 12 game winning streak. The Beavers will look to follow in the same footsteps as the Cougs tonight. Tune in at 5:30 on Fox Sports NW.
